Rustam Minnikhanov: “Bugulma is one of our leading municipalities”

On August 25, at his meeting with activists of Bugulma municipal region, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Bugulma region has historically had a huge potential for the implementation of which joint efforts of the authorities are required.
Opening the meeting, Head of Bugulma region Ildus Kasymov made a report on main social and economic results. As of the first half of 2014 the total output of goods and services in Bugulma region amounted to 18.6 billion roubles, which is 10 per cent higher compared to the same period last year. The industrial production index made 100.9%.
There are 40 family farms with more than 2,000 head of cattle in the region. Four medical and obstetrical stations have been built in recent years. As for the quality of education this is not the first year Bugulma has been in the lead in the republic, and by the achievements of pupils at the Olympiads the region is second only to such big cities as Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny.
"Bugulma is one of our leading municipalities. A lot of projects have been launched here, and today Bugulma is a scientific, industrial, transport and logistics center of the republic. The region has a great potential and we should create conditions for its implementation," Minnikhanov said.
According to him, despite the current problems, the town and the region are changing for the better.
Speaking about the social and economic development in general, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the region is one of the leading regions in Russia in many respects.
According to Minnikhanov, the republic is in position to carry out the largest projects, which is confirmed by the successful holding of the Universiade, inclusion of Bolgar in the UNESCO World Heritage List, construction of the largest refinery "TANECO". "We should set ambitious goals for ourselves and strive to attain them," he said.
Summing up, Minnikhanov thanked Bugulma dwellers for their contribution to the development of the republic. "Together we can meet any challenge," he said.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
