Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov: “Getting state order for production of planes for RF President Administration is a great trust rendered to Gorbunov Aviation Works”

“Getting a state order for production of aircraft for the RF President Administration during such economically difficult time is a great work and trust rendered to the personnel of Gorbunov KAPO, - Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov said at a ceremony of transferring 2 planes TU-214 SR produced under state order from the RF President Administration.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted also that currently 11 aircrafts TU-214 are already functioning but the above mentioned ones are absolutely new products.

Director General of “KAPO” Vasil Kayumov handed to Tatarstan Prime Minister a copy of TU-214 SR – “for maximum efforts and help in getting the state order for production of planes”.

Speaking to the employees of “KAPO” President of United Aircraft Corporation Aleksey Fedorov said that the ceremony is a symbol of company’s intensive work.

A member of military and industrial commission under Russian President Aleksandr Bobryshev stressed that it is the beginning of a big way when we are launching a new TU-214. Production of these aircrafts is very significant both for the industry and defense of the country.

From the point of view of Head of Russian Union of manufacturers and entrepreneurs Aleksandr Shokhin the state stimulates inner demand by such orders.

The Representative of the RF President Administration Aleksandr Zuev, in his turn, considers this order to be an investment into support of the Russian aircraft industry and development of the Kazan aircraft plant. He hopes that such an experience would help with reducing the time for fulfilling orders for production of other machines.
