Tatarstan Prime Minister held meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg to Russia Mr Gaston Stronk

Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg to the Russian Federation Mr Gaston Stronk at the House of Tatarstan government.

RT Prime Minister noted that the arrival of Mr Gaston Stronk may encourage further development of relations between Luxemburg and Tatarstan.

Mr Gaston Stronk said that Russia is one of 10 world financial centres and one of the first 5 countries - world investors. Investments in Russia annually make 25 billion euro. Luxemburg is one of 3 states traditionally investing in our country. Development of the production of auto components may be one of the spheres for cooperation (Luxemburg takes one of leading positions in the world in this field).

In the course of meeting Mr Gaston Stronk offered to arrange a visit of the delegation from Luxemburg for experience exchange and setting more close relations with Tatarstan bank sector. It would consist of the representatives of leading financial and legal companies.

By words of Aide to Prime Minister on foreign economic activity Iskander Mouflikhanov the visit is planned for the second half of October 2009.

Gaston Stronk also invited representatives of Republic Tatarstan to take part in the event – Day of Russian regions next year (annually held in April in Luxemburg).

Iskander Mouflikhanov informed that by the results of visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg to Russia a working group would be formed to realize all the mentioned issues.

Iskander Mouflikhanov added that Gaston Stronk was going to visit the innovative technopark “Idea”, meet with RT Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, Chairman of RT Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev and visit some architectural signtseeings.
