Tatarstan President takes part in opening of new kindergarten “Umka” in Kazan

On August 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, representatives of regional ministries and agencies took part in opening of new kindergarten “Umka” in Kazan. It is the only kindergarten in the republic with artificial ice rink.
The guests were shown around the kindergarten. Rustam Minnikhanov checked the quality of ice on the skating rink and took a picture with young hockey players.
Speaking to parents, children and builders, Rustam Minnikhanov said that Umka is a unique kindergarten and 56 new kindergartens for 10.5 thousand places will be built next year.
“We will try to do our best to make children happy, healthy and help them getting ready for school,” Director of the kindergarten Ekaterina Repina said in her turn.
The kindergarten is for 220 places and 11 groups. Recreation, cold water treatment and sport are the priority areas. Children will also learn to play hockey and figure skating under supervision of experience coaches. The arrangements have already been reached with “Ak Bars” hockey school. There are also orthopedic and psychologists rooms, sports and music halls in the kindergarten.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
