Tatarstan Prime Minister visits Tatenergosbyt, where he talks to company’s activists

On September 4, at his meeting with the staff of Tatenergosbyt Company, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that despite the tough economic situation in the country, Tatarstan maintains stability in the oil, petrochemical and machine building industries.
“The situation remains quite stable, probably mainly because a good foundation has been built in the recent years. The gross regional product is decreasing, but payment defaults, including power supply debts, are not going up. It is an important indicator signifying that businesses are stable and that all the measures taken within the 2008-2009 crisis were effective,” he noted.
He stressed that Tatarstan has high-performaing oil, petrochemical and machine building complexes, with some existing enterprises having been modernized. Also, new plants were built, including TANECO Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex in Nizhnekamsk, two automobile factories and some enterprises in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.
“Large industrial facilities have prospects in Tatarstan. Next year, another large enterprise, the Ammonium plant, will be opened in Mendeleevsk. We are talking about dozens of companies that are under construction here. This means the region has a future and we will have consumers,” Khalikov said.
Speaking about construction and major repair in Tatarstan, Ildar Khalikov reminded that 22,000 places were created in kindergartens in the republic in three years and 56 kindergartens were built in 2014 alone. A total of 150 schools are repaired every year, and about 100 village clubs were constructed in the republic in three years, he said.
“I cannot say we have solved all the problems and everything is smooth. But generally, over 7,000 facilities, including major housing renovation, are under construction and renovation,” he said.
Ildar Khalikov thanked a large team of Tatenergosbyt Company for their fruitful work and congratulated them on taking the first place among Russian companies in the rating "Sales companies: the effectiveness in the market" by results of the first quarter of the year.
Summing up, Tatarstan Prime Minister wished the company to become the best in Europe.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.

There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
