On September 5, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in opening of Alabuga International School for children of foreign specialists working in Special Economic Zone “Alabuga” and Kama industrial hub in Elabuga.
The foundation stone laying ceremony was held on March 1, 2013. The construction project owner is the managing company OAO “SEZ PPT “Alabuga”.
The educational complex occupies the area of 4, 000 m² and comprises a new school and a kindergarten. Currently, two of three construction stages have been completed, and 100 children will start studying there.
The cost of construction works made 200 million roubles. Modern educational environment that facilitates children’s development was provided at the school.
The school Director David O’Brian, a British citizen, has been the Director of a British school in Moscow for 10 years. The Elabuga school also has three more British teachers and one teacher from the Philippines.
The lessons will be given in English under «British National Curriculum» programme.
Welcoming participants of the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated everyone on opening of the new international school in the republic, promised to render overall support and expressed his hope that more international schools will open in the republic in future.
Rustam Minnikhanov looked around the school and talked to pupils.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
