Memorandum of understanding signed between Vietnamese and Tatarstan chambers of Commerce and Industry

On September 8, during his working trip to Vietnam, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a ceremony of signing a Memorandum of understanding between Vietnamese and Tatarstan chambers of Commerce and Industry in Hanoi. The document was signed by Chairman of Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev and Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vu Tien Loc during the meeting of Tatarstan delegation with businessmen of Vietnam.

During the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov briefly told about the Republic of Tatarstan, its geographical location, socio-economic and industrial potential. He noted, in particular, that Tatarstan is one of five economically developed regions in Russia, and that oil production and processing, and engineering are main economic sectors.

Tatarstan President suggested organizing a visit of Vietnamese business delegation to Tatarstan for establishing close partnership relations and developing cooperation between Tatarstan and Vietnamese businessmen.

Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, who was present at the meeting, delivered a report on investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Chairman of Tatarstan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shamil Ageev informed participants of the meeting that arrangements were reached on holding Russian-Vietnamese business forum in Kazan.
