The President stated that today we are facing difficult times because of international situation and sanctions being imposed against Russia. However, it opens new opportunities for import substitution.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, TAIF production and investment company, Tatneft oil company, Kazan helicopters plant, KAMAZ automobile corporation, Zelenodolsk Gorky plant and Ministry of Agriculture and Food should present to the Russian Government their proposals on providing favourable conditions for local producers.

Rustam Minnikhanov continued that today big distribution networks do not always understand the federal issue, which consists in promotion of domestic producers.

Making report at the session, Minister of Economy of the republic Midkhat Shagiakhmetov noted high degree of uncertainty in global economy and that the country has reached the negative stage of economic development.

Midkhat Shagiakhmetov reminded participants of the session that Russian Government imposed the embargo on some food products imported from U.S. and EU, which offers opportunities for import substitution.
