On September 16, speaking at a briefing on the results of the visit of Tatarstan delegation led by Tatarstan President to Vietnam and Singapore, Minister of Information and Communications of the republic Roman Shaikhutdinov said that a single system of wireless communication networks providing a continuous access of citizens to electronic public and municipal services is going to be introduced in Tatarstan.

"Singapore is a cutting edge in terms of development of services for citizens and businesses. There are some aspects that we added to our armoury, in particular, creation of a single "ecosystem" of wireless communication networks, providing a continuous access of our citizens to electronic public and municipal services," he told reporters.

The visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Singapore was held within the framework of the Russia-Singapore Intergovernmental Commission, which coincided with the Russia-Singapore Business Forum. The main purposes of the trip were to exchange experience in the field of agriculture, industry, transport and establish bilateral cooperation in the areas of culture, education, health care, as well as information and communications.

A number of agreements essential for Tatarstan were reached during the visit. In particular, it was decided to hold the next intergovernmental commission session in Tatarstan. According to Roman Shaikhutdinov, the session, which is scheduled for June 9, 2015, will take place in Innopolis.

Also, the National University of Singapore and the Innopolis University signed a cooperation agreement which envisages research collaboration, development of educational programmes and exchange of teaching staff.

Moreover, a number of companies agreed to consider proposals of Tatarstan to establish their enterprises in Innopolis city  and the Innopolis special economic zone. The Acronis Company has become one its potential residents, Shaikhutdinov said.
