Rustam Minnikhanov: “Engineering industry is the pride of our republic”

On September 23, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, heads of engineering enterprises, members of labour unions, veterans and representatives of labour dynasties, young engineers, mentors of groups of technical creativity took part in a solemn event dedicated to Engineer’s Day in Kazan.
Welcoming the guests, Rustam Minnikhanov said that the republic has a great engineering potential. “More than 150 large and medium engineering enterprises and 140, 000 people are working in the republic. It is our pride,” he noted.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked veterans, who stood at the origins of the industry, and noted the need for new qualified personnel.
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that Tatarstan engineering industry is developing and is being modernized.
“New enterprises are opening, state-of-the-art technologies are being used. We have no doubts that engineering industry is one of our growth points in the midterm,” the President said. He thanked heads of enterprises, veterans and employees of the industry.
Rustam Minnikhanov expressed confidence that Tatarstan engineering industry makes contribution to realization of the task set by Russian government in the sphere of import substitution. He congratulated all engineers on their professional holiday and handed in state awards.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
