Rustam Minnikhanov meets Turkish Minister of Forestry and Water Veysel Eroğlu

On September 24, at his meeting with Turkish Minister of Forestry and Water Veysel Eroğlu, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the regional leadership appreciates brotherly relations with Turkish people and considers expansion of cooperation within the framework of Russia-Turkey relations very important.
The meeting was held at Special Economic Zone “Alabuga”, before opening of “Kastamonu Entegre” wood-working plant.
Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Aide to Tatarstan President on foreign affairs Radik Gimatdinov, Director General of SEZ “Alabuga” Timur Shagivaleev, and Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov took part in the meeting.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, Turkey takes the first place by the number of joint foreign-capital enterprises in Tatarstan.
Tatarstan President reminded participants of the meeting that Coşkunöz mold-pressed auto parts production plant opened a month ago at SEZ “Alabuga”, Şişecam two big plants and Hayat Kimya plant for manufacturing household cleaning and sanitary products will open soon.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that “Kastamonu Entegre” plant is the first Tatarstan-Turkey joint project in wood-working industry.
“A large amount of funds was invested in manufacturing products that are in high demand in Russian market. Kastamonu company provided jobs and facilitated forestry development. Our mission is to develop this project. We will render overall assistance to favour successful implementation of the project,” Tatarstan President said.
Veysel Eroğlu conveyed greetings of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu to Rustam Minnikhanov.
The Turkish minister also suggested that Tatarstan and Turkey can share experience in the sphere of forestry and implement joint projects in health care industry.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
