Head of the Tatarstan government Rustam Minnikhanov took part in opening hotel Ibis in Kazan

Today. Prime minister of Republic Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has taken part in a solemn opening of a new modern hotel Ibis in Kazan. Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the French Republic to the Russian Federation Jean De Gliniasti, RT minister on affairs of youth, sports and tourism Marat Bariev, head of executive committee of Kazan Rafis Barganov and other officials took part in the ceremony.

As Mr. Jean De Gliniasti has marked in a salutatory word, opening of hotel of a leading European network Ibis in Kazan became the first in regions of Russia (after Moscow and St.-Petersburg). « The choice in favour of Kazan - confirmation that foreign business aspires to spreading in the Russian regions », - the Ambassador said. By his words, today it is necessary to make regions of Russia accessible to foreigners.

Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated that with arrival of an Irbis network, Kazan has received a hotel with the European service. In his opinion, today, on the threshhold of Universiada of 2013, the republic faces greater prospects, and for this purpose it is necessary to cope some "bottlenecks" - in particular, to provide city with enough number of hotels of various level and transport infrastructure. Head of the RT government has thanked the company-investor, having expressed opinion that at presence of such hotels more visitors and tourists from abroad would come to Kazan.

At a press conference the journalists were informed, that Ibis Kazan has become the first hotel under the international brand. Kesco Company (the hotel is in its property) became an investor and a customer of the project. Investments into the project have made 520 million rbl.

Management of hotel has been undertaken by the French company - the operator of the market of hotel services Accor Group.

Answering questions of the journalists, RT minister on affairs of youth, sports and tourism Marat Bariev informed that hotel Ibis became the 133-rd hotel in the republic. For last 7 years the number of hotel rooms in Tatarstan has increased twice.

In opinion of Marat Bariev, apperance of the hotel Ibis (a category of 3 stars) may push investors for construction of hotels of the economy class as the most demanded for tourists.
Head of the Kesco press-service Elena Ukhabina informed that a cost of standard number in hotel - about 2 thousand rbl. a day.
