Tatyana Prokofieva: “Integration of bicycles in transport infrastructure is an important task”

On October 14, at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the trip of Tatarstan delegation to Denmark, it was noted that Copenhagen experience in the sphere of urban environment transformation should be used in Kazan.
Chief Architect of Kazan Tatyana Prokofieva told that members of Tatarstan delegation were told about the division of pedestrian, cycle and automobile traffic in the city. Work in this sphere started in Copenhagen in 1960s.
Tatyana Prokofieva noted that parks and site improvement make urban social climate better.
Speaking about the use of Copenhagen experience in Kazan, Tatyana Prokofieva said that there are no any certain plans for the moment, but it is going to be multi-stage and long-term.
“Integration of bicycles in transport infrastructure is an important task,” she said.
Aide to Tatarstan President Olesya Baltusova, who took part in the briefing, is also sure that Danish experience should be used in Kazan. She supposes that first of all experts and specialists should study Danish experience, and city and expert associations should be established. Also, cyclists and people involved in improvement of park sites can make their proposals.
The Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin said that Tatarstan delegation visited Denmark by the invitation of Gehl Architects company.
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.

On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
