Rustam Minnikhanov sets out priorities for the next few years at session of Economic Council of the Republic of Tatarstan

On October 15, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a session of the Economic Council of the Republic of Tatarstan on creation and development of industrial parks and sites in Tyulyachi region, where he took part in opening of new production facilities in “Tyulyachi” industrial park.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Director of the Department of Small and Medium Business of Russian Ministry of Economic Development Natalia Larionova, representatives of ministries and agencies, heads of municipal regions, industrial parks and enterprises took part in the session.

Speaking at the session, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the task is to increase the share of small and medium business in GRP to 34 per cent. Currently, the share of industrial enterprises in the segment of small and medium business makes 16 per cent. Small and medium enterprises are mainly presented in the sphere of trade and services. However, potential opportunities of the republic enable increasing the share of small and medium business twice.

Tatarstan Minister of Economy Artem Zdunov, who took part in the session, said that there are 22 industrial parks in 17 municipal regions and one city district in Tatarstan with 110 residents. As a result, 1.5 thousand jobs were provided, total revenue of enterprises made 2.4 billion roubles. 90 per cent of produce is manufactured at four sites, including Special Economic Zone “Alabuga” and Kama Industrial Park “Master”.
