On October 21, at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Andrey Pominov said that “Algarysh” grants were awarded to 222 people this year. He told that the grant programme was launched in 2006, and since then grants have been awarded to 3137 people.
Andrey Pominov also told about main changes in the programme that took place this year. In particular, the “Partner programme” was replaced by “Young specialists”. Also, there is a new programme “Double diplomas” that implies realization of educational programmes in cooperation with one or a few foreign universities.
The interactive database system “Algarysh” was developed and implemented in testing mode. The system aims to automatically collect, process and keep information about participants of “Algarysh” grant programme to monitor and control fulfillment of obligations by participants and creation of database about professional achievements of the graduates.
The speaker also told about the programme “Global education” aimed at preservation and enhancement of scientific, teaching, medical, engineering, and management personnel in social sphere, support of Russian citizens, who entered top foreign educational organizations on their own and their further employment.
All candidates are required to work in Russia for at least three years.
Tatarstan Ministry of Education and Science is working on returning candidates, who did not come back to Tatarstan after graduation. 23 statements of claim have been filed to courts. Judgments have been passed by 6 cases for the sum of 3 million 850 thousand roubles.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.

On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
