Chairman of the Russia-China Friendship Association Chen Yuan: We are ready to promote relations with Tatarstan in different Chinese provinces within the framework of our activity

On October 21, at his meeting with the Chinese delegation led by Chairman of the National Committee of the People's Political Consultative Conference of the 12th convocation, Chairman of the Russia-China Friendship Association Chen Yuan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov welcomed the guests on behalf of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and wished them to enjoy staying in Kazan.
The Prime Minister said that today Russia and China are partners in many spheres, and Russia-China Friendship Association founded in 1957 plays an important role. He thanked members of Chinese delegation for efficient work in the sphere of strengthening of relations between two countries.
Ildar Khalikov noted that Tatarstan and China cooperate in the sphere of mechanical engineering, petrochemical industry, tourism, education. According to the Prime Minister, Tatarstan is willing to continue cooperation.
In his turn, Chairman of the Russia-China Friendship Association Chen Yuan said that it is his first visit to Kazan. He noted that amid complicated international situation Russia-China relations are developing. “We are glad to see that partnership relations are developing between Chinese provinces and the Republic of Tatarstan, and we would like to continue cooperation in cultural, scientific, and industrial spheres,” Chen Yuan said. He also reminded participants of the meeting that Hunan delegation recently visited Tatarstan. “Our industries have much in common, and many projects in China were realized with participation of Soviet specialists,” Mr Chen Yuan added. He continued that Russia-China Friendship Association pays much attention to public diplomacy and cultural contacts with Russia.
Khalikov noted that a joint enterprise established in cooperation with Haier company is working in Tatarstan, and an important project “Ammony” is being implemented. Also, cooperation in the sphere of sport is well-developed. In particular, Tatarstan adopted practices of Shenzhen during preparation for summer Universiade 2013, and experience of Chinese colleagues is being studied within the framework of preparation for World Aquatics Championship 2015, he said and wished members of Chinese delegation interesting and useful visit to Kazan.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
