Mintimer Shaimiev holds meeting on developing tourist brands of the ancient town of Bolgar and island town of Sviyazhsk

On October 29, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the board of guardians of “Revival” Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting on developing tourist brands of the ancient town of Bolgar and island town of Sviyazhsk at the Kazan Kremlin.
Chairman of State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Sergey Ivanov, who took part in the meeting, told about key tasks to be fulfilled in this area.
“Today the level of development of the ancient town of Bolgar and island town of Sviyazhsk suggests that they are independent tourist destinations at the Russian market and abroad. Therefore, they should appear as separate tourist sites on the map of Tatarstan and Russia. They obviously become equal to Kazan, and a unique selling proposition should be made. We need to develop tourist brands for these sites, and the main goal of a brand is increasing attractiveness of tourist sites,” Sergey Ivanov said.
According to Sergey Ivanov, a working group composed of representatives of State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, “Citybranding” company (Moscow), design experts of Lorien advertising agency (Kazan), and Centre of analytical studies and development (Kazan). Specialists working in the sphere of tourism, branding, sociology, philology, copywriting, and design will take part in development of brands.
Director General of OOO “Citybranding” Vasily Dubeikovsky told about stages of work under brands of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk.
Participants of the meeting made their suggestions and proposals, and approved the plan of the working group.
CEO of the Regional Foundation “Revival”, deputy of Tatarstan State Council Tatyana Larionova, Head of Spassky region Kamil Nugaev, Director of the institute of international relations, history and oriental studies of Kazan Federal University Ramil Khairutdinov, Director of the Institute of Archeology named after A.Kh.Khalikov Airat Sitdikov, Director of State historical-architectural and art museum “The island town of Sviyazhsk” Artem Silkin, Director of Bolgar state historical-architectural museum reserve Fargat Mukhametov, creative director of OOO “Lorien” Aleksandr Markelov, Director General of OOO “TSAIR-Marketing” Aleksey Konnov took part in the meeting.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
