Tatarstan President visits Innopolis construction site

On November 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov inspected construction of facilities in Innopolis, a new city near Kazan. Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Information and Communications of the republic Roman Shaikhutdinov,  Tatarstan Minister of Architecture, Construcion and Housing and Utilities Services Irek Faizullin, heads of contracting and design organizations accompanied the President.

The first facility detoured was the Popov Technopark under construction. Ildar Khalikov informed Tatarstan President that the heating supply system was put into operation and finishing works can be started. A project of the Technopark interior decoration was shown to Tatarstan President.

Minnikhanov reminded responsible agencies that they need to intensify their work to attract residents to the new Special Economic Zone.

Participants of the detour visited a residence hall for students of the Innopolis university under construction, where they looked around finished accommodation rooms. Tatarstan President also inspected construction of the university building and a sports complex.

A residential neighborhood, where Minnikhanov looked around of the buildings for IT specialists, was also detoured.  According to representatives of the contracting company, eight houses for 420 apartments will be commissioned in Innopolis by January 1, 2015.
