The Republic of Tatarstan and Moscow State Institute of International Relations sign agreement on cooperation

On November 6, the Republic of Tatarstan, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Moscow Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed the agreement at the Kazan Kremlin. The document was signed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, rector of Moscow State Institute of International Relations Anatoly Torkunov and Director of International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Valery Salygin.
The meeting between Rustam Minnikhanov and Anatoly Torkunov was held afterwards.
Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov took part in the event.
“We appreciate our relations. Your institute has done a lot for development of the Republic of Tatarstan, especially in the sphere of training highly skilled personnel. More than 70 graduates of Moscow State Institute of International Relations work at different positions in the republic.
Rustam Minnikhanov briefly presented social and economic achievements of Tatarstan and noted that oil production, petrochemistry, energy, and engineering are main industries in Tatarstan economy.
Speaking about development of cooperation between Tatarstan and Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Rustam Minnikhanov said that the staff training programme for government authorities, representative offices of the Republic of Tatarstan abroad, and professional development courses should be organized.
“We need staff that can obtain certain skills on such courses to work in energy, oil production and processing sectors. Tatarstan economy is export oriented, we have partners all over the world, and we are establishing contacts in Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Persian Gulf.
Tatarstan President said that the signed agreement would help to enhance cooperation between the region and Moscow State Institute of International Relations in the sphere of staff training.

On 13 January, speaking about New Year events at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva informed that more than 8 thousand topical events were held during New Year holidays in the republic.
“These included mass celebrations, theatrical performances, concerts, sporting competitions, and much more. Outdoor events were particularly popular, “she said and informed about numerous events held within the Kurshe (Neighbor) festival and the regional Christmas Tree celebrations organized with participation of the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov.
On 13 January Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the regional Healthcare Minister Almir Abashev, the Acting Mayor of the Town of Innopolis Ildar Khuzzyatov and heads of medical and construction organizations of the republic took part in a solemn ceremony of opening a children’s polyclinic in Innopolis. The new facility more than twice expanded the medical service of the town and also houses the 24 our emergency ambulances unit with a separate entrance for its staff.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
