On November 15, Tatarstan and Crimea signed an agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical, social and cultural cooperation at the Kazan Kremlin. The document was signed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov.
Also, Head of Bakhchisarai region Igor Knyr and Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov signed an agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical, social and cultural cooperation between Cabinet of Ministers and Administration of Bakhchisarai region.
After signing the agreements, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Crimean delegation had an official meeting to summarize the results of the visit.
Opening the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov said that cooperation between two republics is developing. Main areas are improvement of state and municipal administration in Crimea, strengthening of business relations, and realization of federal programmes. The President noted that Tatarstan is ready to support Crimea in all projects. Currently, Tatarstan is rendering methodological aid to Crimea, helping with professional development of state and municipal officials, and taking part in developing water supply and heating systems.
During the current visit the parties agreed on using Tatarstan experience in opening several innovative centres in Crimea. Also, cooperation between shipbuilding enterprises with Zelenodolsk plant named after Gorky and work of a trading house “Tatarstan-Crimea” were discussed at the meeting.
“Crimea is one of growing points of Russian Federation and it has big prospects of development. I am sure that support of the federal centre and regions will help Crimea to become one of leading regions in our country within a short time. And we are ready to take part in this work. We wish prosperity to the Republic of Crimea,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Russian Presidential Envoy in Crimean Federal District Oleg Belaventsev thanked Tatarstan leadership and personally Rustam Minnikhanov for the invitation to visit Tatarstan and a very informative programme.
Sergey Aksenov, in his turn, noted that Tatarstan has a professional management team that implemented most large-scale projects under the direction of the President.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
