Rustam Minnikhanov and representatives of Indian companies discuss opportunities of cooperation in oil, gas and chemical sphere

On November 19, during his working visit to Mumbai (India), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met executives of Tata Group and Swan Energy Ltd. Indian businessmen also took part in the meeting.
Representatives of Indian companies told Rustam Minnikhanov about their activity and prospective areas. The companies mainly work in the real sector of economy, chemical and petrochemical industries, production of fertilizers, supply of liquefied gas, and shipbuilding.
Indian partners made proposals on cooperation in oil and gas sector, shipbuilding, and other spheres. They believe that the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India in December 2014 will give impetus to further cooperation between Russia and India and help implementing new projects.
Minnikhanov noted that production of fertilizers is one of the most prospective joint projects. “Implementation of OAO “Ammony” project that requires sufficient volumes of natural gas is nearly finished in Tatarstan. We are ready to discuss creation of enterprises in gas and chemical industry,” Tatarstan President said. Other prospective areas of cooperation are chemistry, petrochemistry and oil production.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
