Investment potential of Tatarstan presented to Turkish businessmen

On November 27, in Moscow, a presentation of Tatartsan the Association of Russian and Turkish businessmen was held. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Turkish Ambassador to Russia Umit Yardym, Head of of Russian-Turkish Business Association Naki Karaaslan and more than 300 Turkish businessmen took part in the event.
Speaking at the event, Naki Karaaslan thanked the Rustam Minnikhanov for his participation in the presentation. He noted rapid development of Russia-Turkey relations in general and cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkey in particular. Among investment advantages of Tatarstan Karaaslan pointed out infrastructure, low bureaucratic barriers, support of the authorities.
In his turn Umit Yardym also appreciated the level of development of Russia-Turkey and Turkey- Tatarstan relations. The Ambassador wished participants of the presentation to see into possibilities to develop their business in Tatarstan.
Welcoming participants of the meeting Minnikhanov thanked the Association of Russian and Turkish businessmen for organizing the event. "I am very pleased to meet representatives of the Turkish business. Your association is highly respected in the world and makes a great contribution to the development of Russia-Turkey relations,” he said.
"We will be glad to enhance our relationship, I think that signing a cooperation agreement between the Association of Russian and Turkish businessmen and Tatarstan Investment Development Agency will favour this," Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov presented the industrial potential of the republic. Among promising areas of cooperation between Turkey and Tatarstan the Minister mentioned the manufacturing of automotive components, furniture, textile and wood-working.
Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov told Turkish businessmen about the possibilities of information industry in Tatarstan and invited Turkish business to the Innopolis IT city.
Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Talya Minullina told about the investment potential of the republic. General Director of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone Timur Shagivaleev told about the zone as well as its Turkish resident companies.
At the end of the presentation in the presence of Rustam Minnikhanov an agreement on cooperation between the Association of Russian and Turkish businessmen and Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was signed.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference , the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported the statistics on collection of utility payments and payment discipline.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference , the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that 170 educational facilities will have capital overhaul by federal and regional programmes, having added that the bulk of the projects are planned to begin at the start of the summer holidays.
