Tatarstan President visits island town of Sviyazhsk

On November 29, Tatarstan President accompanied by the State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, deputy of Russian State Duma Evgeny Grishin, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Office Asgat Safarov, Deputy Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Tatyana Larionova, Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Minister of Transport and Roads Lenar Safin, Minister of Construction Irek Faizullin, and Head of Zelenodolsk region Aleksandr Tygin visited the island town of Sviyazhsk.
The visit started with the helicopter landing site and car park. Then, the guests went to see the Assumption Cathedral, - the object of cultural heritage of federal significance constructed by a famous architect Postnik Yakovlev, who created Saint Basil's Cathedral in Moscow. Old 16th-cnetury frescos make the cathedral a very unique landmark. The cathedral was reconstructed in 2010-2012 with the financial support of OAO “Kazan helicopters”.
Rustam Minnikhanov also visited state historical-architectural and art museum “The island town of Sviyazhsk”. Reconstruction works funded by OAO “TAIF” were completed in 2010-2012. It is also planned to create the museum of Civil War, art gallery, information tourist center, the museum of Volga pirates and the museum of vintage cards.
Moreover, the Arkhireev museum, the museum of A.S.Pushkin fairy tales, the museum of Orthodoxy and religion, and the archeological museum of wooden architecture will appear in Sviyazhsk.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
