Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov hold a working meeting

On December 2, at his working meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev said about production facilities he has seen in Tatarstan: “Perfectly implemented projects”.

Earlier, during his working trip to Tatarstan, Medvedev visited TANEKO Oil Refining Complex in Nizhnekamsk, Ford-Sollers and KAMAZ production facilities in Naberezhnye Chelny.

Minnikhanov thanked Medvedev for his attention paid to the region. He said that all these projects are implemented within the framework of the strategy adopted at the federal level. In particular, he pointed out that the project of TANEKO Oil Refining Complex was approved by the Government of the Russian Federation and implemented following public-private partnership principles.

Speaking about the regional economy, Minnikhanov said that “we have two lines of development. These are petrochemistry, oil refining, and automotive industry. Today we showed you our projects implemented in these areas. "

Then, Minnikhanov reported on the development the Alabuga Special Economic Zone (Yelabuga municipal district, Tatarstan). " This year we have opened two more plants in the SEZ" Alabuga”, namely wood processing and die stamping production facilities. In the next three or four months three more plants will be launched. These are car glass factory, construction glass production facility and plant for the production of household chemicals," he said.

Tatarstan President went on to say that there is one more area the region is developing. This is the Innopolis project, where the first start-up facilities will be launched in January, he said. “We have programmes to develop the Kama cluster and the IT sector.
