Rustam Minnikhanov: “Kazan Federal University is the pride of Tatarstan and the whole Russia”

On December 6, at the Tatneft-Arena Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Russia’s Minister of Communication and Media Nikolay Nikiforov, Russia’ Deputy Minister of Education and Science Alexander Klimov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, several thousands of students and employees took part in a solemn event dedicated to the 210th anniversary of Kazan Federal University.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the University staff, its students and alumni on the occasion. "Kazan Federal University is the pride not only of Tatarstan. It is one of the leading educational institutions of Russia. And I believe that the university will be able to hit the list of the world’s top 100 universities," he said.
“I am proud of you. You are the best specialists we have in the republic. I hope that the prosperity of the republic will go along with the prosperity of the university,” Minnikhanov continued.
Nikolai Nikiforov also congratulated the Alma Mater on the anniversary. According to him, the university students are people who will make life better in Kazan, Tatarstan, and Russia. Nikolai Nikiforov reminded the audience on the importance Russia’s President Vladimir Putin attached to higher education in his annual address and expressed his confidence that the graduates of the university will be able to deal with challenges, the country is facing.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
