Chinese investors are interested in implementation of projects in the Republic of Tatarstan

On December 9, at their meeting in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and members of Chinese delegation discussed opening of a shopping and exhibition center “China town” in Tatarstan.

During their working visit to Tatarstan members of Chinese delegation have visited some innovative sites in Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, and held meetings at Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

Ildar Khalikov briefly told Chinese colleagues about social and economic situation in the republic, and most important projects, including construction of Innopolis city and Sviyazhsk interregional multimodal logistics center.

Board Chairman of OOO “Ma Tian Lun» Xinjiang investment Management Company Mr. Wenlun Ma made a presentation “China town”. He noted that there is a good opportunity for developing commercial property market in Kazan. Construction of DIY and home improvement shopping center is of particular interest.
“We know that construction materials are imported from other regions, and the project “China town” can help solving problems with construction market requirements,” Mr. Wenlun Ma said. He continued that his company has a great experience in realization of such projects and is interested in investing funds in construction of the complex in the republic. Besides, this project will help strengthening trade and economic relations between Russia and China.

The project implies construction of shopping and exhibition areas, residential complex with kindergarten, shopping and entertainment center, storage premises and logistics center. According to Chinese partners, the project can be realized in three stages, in the period of 2015 -2019. 12, 000 jobs with 10 per cent of Chinese specialists will be provided.

Participants of the meeting discussed location of the complex and conditions to be provided for Chinese investors in the republic.
