Rustam Minnikhanov attends concert of Tatarstan masters of arts in Ljubljana

On December 15, during his working visit to the Republic of Slovenia (December 15-16, 2014), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended a concert of Tatarstan masters of the arts in Ljubljana.

Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Slovenia Mitja Bervar, Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov, Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia Docu Zavgayev were among the honoured guests at the event. 

The concert gathered more than 1,500 spectators. Before the concert, the guests had been demonstrated a documentary movie describing the most prominent economic projects implemented in Tatarstan as well as sports and cultural achievements the region had made.

The spectators saw performances of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Tatarstan and listened to songs in Tatar and Russian languages. The guests could appreciate the sound of a national musical instrument called the kurai, get acquainted with cultural, musical traditions of the Tatar people.

A documentary movie dedicated to the ancient town of Bolgar included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2014 was also demonstrated during the concert.
