Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan and Slovenia have all possible opportunities to expand cooperation

On December 16, at his meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at Slovenian Parliament (Ljubljana), Chairman of National Council of the Republic of Slovenia Mitja Bervar said that Slovenia is interested in expanding cooperation with Russia.
Mitja Bervar briefly told about political system of Slovenia, and said that cooperation with Russia is maintained on a good level and new opportunities for developing relations are being worked out.
Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, thanked for the meeting that is especially important on the threshold of a session of the Intergovernmental Slovenian-Russian Commission.
Minnikhanov also noted that a concert of masters of the arts of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in Ljubljana on December 15. It showed that Slovenian citizens are interested in national art of Russian regions. Tatarstan artists were warmly received by the audience, he said, and thanked for helping with organization of the concert.
“Our main task today is to establish contacts in cultural, educational and economic spheres, and interaction between governments of Russia and Slovenia,” Minnikhanov said.
He invited representatives of Slovenia to pay a return visit to Tatarstan and learn more about opportunities for doing business and investing in the republic.
“We will organize roundtables, discussions, and meetings during your visit. We need to increase sales volume and raise the level of our economic relations,” Minnikhanov said.
According to Tatarstan President, production of automotive components that is well developed in Slovenia is of particular interest. Other prospective areas of cooperation are agriculture, pharmaceutics, light industry, woodworking and tourism.
During the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov briefly told about economy of the republic.
Summing up, Mitja Bervar said: “We should respect each other’s interests under current unstable political situation.”
Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov, Russia's ambassador to Slovenia Doku Zavgayev, and members of the Tatarstan delegation took part in the meeting.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
