Rustam Minnikhanov suggest holding next session of Russia-Slovenia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation in Kazan

On December 16, in Ljubljana, at his meeting with Minister of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia Zdravko Počivalšek, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov suggested holding the next session of Russia-Slovenia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation in Kazan.
Minnikhanov thanked the Slovenian party for an opportunity to visit the country, learn more about its economy and main areas of development. According to him, the level of economic relations between Slovenia and Tatarstan has been low so far, while the potential is huge. He briefed on social and economic environment in his region, pointing out its most important industries for the economy. These include oil production, petrochemistry and oil processing, machine-building, aircraft building, production of industrial compressors, radio-electronics, shipbuilding and others.
Tatarstan is interested in Slovenian manufacturers of automotive components launching their production facilities in the republic, Minnikhanov said. We are ready to provide all the necessary conditions to run your businesses in our region, he added.
Minnikhanov went on to say that Tatarstan has serious possibilities in delivering oil products to Slovenia.
Tatarstan President mentioned pharmaceutics, agriculture, wood working and IT sphere as promising areas for mutually beneficial cooperation.
In his turn Zdravko Počivalšek also agreed with the opinion that the turnover between Slovenia and Tatarstan could be boosted. Russia is a priority country to cooperate with, he said, adding that Slovenian pharmaceutical, household and other products are delivered to Russia.
“I am sure we will be able to achieve good results in the future,” he said.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
