Rustam Minnikhanov hands in Tatarstan state awards in field of science and technology

On December 25, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in Tatarstan state awards in the field of science and technology.
Welcoming the audience, Minnikhanov noted this year’s winners were eminent scientists, professors, and chiefs and staff members of leading research institutions and production plants.
“The state and society today expect our scientists to increase the independent of domestic science and ensure high quality of research. It is gratifying that the interaction between the science and real sector of economy increases year to year. Tatneft Oil Company activities are a vivid example of that,” he said.
Minnikhanov reminded that two large projects developed by Tatarstan oil scientists were given the state award.
“The recognition needs to become another incentive for the oil scientists in supporting and developing applied and fundamental projects,” Tatarstan President said.
The problem of reclaiming oil-polluted land is urgent for the regional oil industry. Local scientists proposed new safe and cost-effective technologies allowing to reduce the reclaiming time 3-4 times. “The technologies now need to be implemented,” he continued.
Two teams working in healthcare and medicine were given the Tatarstan state award as well. “The branch has at all times been the top priority in Tatarstan, an object of systemic financial and intellectual investment,” Rustam Minnikhanov said, recalling that 20 years before Tatarstan scientists had implemented magnetic resonance therapy methods, allowing for effective diagnostics and treatment of some severe diseases and reducing the examination time.
“The nominated project on implementing a lean manufacturing method has been approved as well. I am sure the future of our economy belongs to it,” Minnikhanov added.
Tatarstan President thanked the winners for their contribution to the domestic science and proceeded to handing in the awards.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
