On December 25, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin and Russian State Duma deputy Irek Boguslavskiy took part in the opening ceremony of the outdoor Nefis Ice Rink with a total area of 15,600 square metres which is located near the Kazan Arena soccer stadium.
The Ice Rink holds up to 2,000 people. It is open weekdays from 10.00 to 22.00, on the weekends from 12.00 to 22.00. Apart from public skating area, there are additional zones: the area for the Winter Fair, the food services area and the ice karting track.
Later, in his interview with journalists, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that it is a unique facility and thanked Nefis group of companies for arranging such an event for Kazan citizens for two consecutive years.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
