Tatarstan President hands in car keys to winners of municipality competition

On December 26, a solemn ceremony to award winners of annual municipality competition was in Kazan. The winners are 93 municipalities and 7 municipal institutions from two urban districts of Tatarstan Republic. On behalf of Tatarstan President, the winners were handed in keys to 100 official Chevrolet Niva cars.
In his welcoming speech, Tatarstan President said, “All of the programmes implemented in the republic are related to the work of municipalities. We know how difficult your work is and we appreciate it. These cars are to give greater mobility to you.”
Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan President Chief of Staff Asgat Safarov, Tatarstan First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Chairman of the Council of municipalities Minsagit Shakirov took part in the meeting. According to Shakirov, a total of 1,018 cars were presented at the Regional municipality competition.
The municipality contest has been held since 2011 to improve the local government bodies and living standard of people.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
