Tatarstan President Rustam Minikhanov visits New Year Fair in Staro-Tatarskaya sloboda

On December 27, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation  Alexander Novak, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, The Mayor of Kazan  Ilsur Metshin and others visited the  New Year fair opened  in  Staro-Tatarskaya sloboda.

During their meeting, Fair shops, workshops for  the production of New Year gifts, the musical skating rink on Lake Kaban were presented to the honoured guests.

In their turn, the guests welcomed and congratulated the people on the coming New Year.  Tatarstan President interested whether people like the ground decorated for the New Year  and wished  joy in the upcoming New Year.

Alexander Novak  said, “ I wish you  a good mood as it is today”.  Ilsur Metshin and Ildar Khalikov wished a success to Kazan citizens.

Theatrical performances Fairy tales of Staro-Tatarskaya sloboda are to be held every day on the embankment of the Kaban Lake.  The Fair is open till January 10. Kukmorsky valenki (felt boots), samovars, Tatar sweets and cakes, gifts, New Year decorations are sold here.
