2.4 million square meters of housing to be built in Tatarstan in 2015

On January 5, at a video conference held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, it was reported that 2.4 million square meters of houses will be commissioned under the housing construction programme in Tatarstan in 2015.
Making a report at the meeting, First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utilities Services of the republic Farit Khanifov said that the 2015 housing construction programme has been made up to include construction of 420.9 thousand square meters under the social mortgage programme, 897.8 thousand square meters of houses under the multi-apartment investment programme and 1.081 million square meters of low-rise houses.
He went on to report that eight houses with a total area of 16.09 thousand square meters will be put into operation under the social mortgage programme in January 2015.
The State Housing Fund plans to commission 16 houses with a total area of 46.8 thousand square meters under the rental housing construction programme in 2015.
Khanifov also said that 59 accidents, including 22 fatal ones, occurred in the construction industry in the republic in 2014. The Inspectorate of the State Construction Supervision conducted 1,029 inspections in 2014. As many as 559 resolutions totaling to 21.2 million roubles were issued for violation of rules and safety standards. At present, 14 million roubles of fines have been collected in the republic.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
