Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates Orthodox citizens of the Republic of Tatarstan on Christmas

On January 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Orthodox Christians on Christmas Day.
“Dear Orthodox citizens! From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you on this bright, vital holiday of Christmas! Christmas gives us the eternal light of belief, fills our hearts with joy and love, delivers a message of good and justice, forgiveness and mercy, and confidence in the future.
In Tatarstan, where Orthodoxy as long as Islam and other traditional religions plays an important social role, we deeply respect and pay much attention to development of religious life and establishment of friendly relations between people of different nationalities and religions. Every year Tatarstan metropolia of Russian Orthodox Church makes bigger contribution to improving moral principles in the society, nurturing the feeling of respect to our rich historical and cultural heritage in young people.
Major efforts are taken to support traditional spiritual values, preservation and development of Orthodox culture in the republic. Old churches are being restored and new churches are being built in towns and villages, Sunday schools are opening in Tatarstan.
I am glad that these good deeds unite citizens of Tatarstan and help strengthening inter-ethnic peace and concord in our common home.
From the bottom of my heart I wish you a Merry Christmas, inexhaustible optimism, happiness, peace, and wellbeing!
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
