Tatarstan Minister of Healthcare: “It is very important to take care of health in time”

On February 10, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Tatarstan Minister of Healthcare Adel Vafin said that the Ministry of HealthCare of the republic has been running a publicity campaign dedicated to the year of the fight against cardiovascular diseases.
He reminded that cardiovascular diseases were the main cause of the mortality in Russia and Tatarstan.
As many as 72,296 of 96,261 people examined in Tatarstan last year had functional disorders, and 53,464 people were sent to medical institutions. A total of 10,687 patients were hospitalized with acute coronary syndrome (as compared with 8,566 people in 2013), including 4,184 cases of acute myocardial infarction, 3,822 emergency diagnostic coronarography, and 2,366 emergency stentings of coronary artery. Hospital mortality of patients with acute myocardial infarction amounted to 6.2 per cent, which is 26.6 per cent lower than a year earlier.
According to Adel Vafin, cardiovascular diseases are caused by arterial pressure by 35.5 per cent, high content of cholesterol by 23 per cent and smoking, little consumption of fruits and vegetables as well as low physical activity by 17.9 per cent. Also, diabetes and obesity can cause the disease progression.
“It is very important to care about health in time. I think that a physician's saying “your figures improved” can motivate a person to lead a healthy lifestyle,” Adel Vafin summed up.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
