Tatarstan delegation took part in session “Revival of giant: Russia as the engine of growth”

Tatarstan delegation headed by RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov is participating in work of the fourth Russian-Singapore Business Forum, which is being held in hotel “Shangrila”. By words of organizers a large number of Russian business community representatives arrived in Singapore to take part in the forum.

Representative of Singapore Committee on development of international trade, manager and director general Olam International Mr Sunny Vargas noted that despite influence of world crisis Singapore and Russia are closely cooperating in number of economic sectors. Singapore companies have entered Russian market. It is the evidence of business traffic development between the countries.

Senior Minister of Singapore Goh Chok Tong told about Singapore experience in current economic crisis.

First deputy chairman of Russian government Igor Shuvalov made the main report “Revival of giant: Russia as the engine of growth”. He also conveyed complimentary words from Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to the guests and participants of the forum and informed that on November, 14-17 he is going to visit Singapore.

Igor Shuvalov said likewise that Russia and Singapore are going through a difficult but interesting time. Stored reserves helped us to overcome this time. Russia is open to investments from Southeast Asian countries and any projects. By his words Russia has prepared a list of projects which may be realized together with Singapore companies.

Chairman of Sberbank management German Gref noted that Russian economy needs diversification and huge investments into infrastructure and only private-governmental partnership can make these investments effective.
