Tatarstan and Kabardino-Balkaria sign agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation

On February 28, in Nalchik, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of Kabardino-Balkar Republic Yuri Kokov signed an agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between the two republics.
Upon his arrival on a working visit in Nalchik, Minnikhanov had a one-on-one meeting with Head of Kabardino-Balkar Republic Yuri Kokov and then the meeting continued in an expanded format with the participation of representatives of the authorities of the republic.
According to Kokov, the Agreement of Friendship and Cooperation between Tatarstan and Kabardino-Balkaria was signed on June 21, 1998 in Kazan. "As part of this Agreement the active work on the development of business and cultural ties between the two regions was done. However, a long time has passed since its signing and it was decided to give a new impetus to cooperation between the two republics by signing a new document relevant to the realities of our time," he continued.
Kabardino-Balkaria is highly interested in cooperation, because Tatarstan is one of the most developed regions of Russia and has abundant natural resources, powerful industry and high intellectual potential, he went on to say.
According to Head of the Kabardino-Balkaria, there are great prospects for cooperation in the field of production and supply of agricultural products.
Yuri Kokov named tourism, organization of recreational activities and treatment as the spheres of mutual interest. There are unique natural reserves, cultural and historical sites in our republics, he said. In addition to exchange of tourists we are also ready to cooperate in the development and creation of the resort and recreational complex, Kokov continued.
In his turn Minnikhanov expressed his confidence that the two regions - Tatarstan and Kabardino-Balkaria – have many common interests. We will be interested in your experience of managing the region, this is a very important process in the work of government authorities, he said and thanked Head of the region for invitation and arranging the visit.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.

Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
