RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov: road infrastructure is the basis of perspective development of all regions

Rustam Minnikhanov took part in opening of the V scientific-practical conference “Roads of Russia of XXI century”. It was held in KRK “Piramida” in Kazan with participation of heads and specialists of federal, territorial and municipal control bodies, state and commercial organizations of road complex.

Head of Federal road agency Anatoly Chabunin opened plenary session of conference "On quality assurance of construction, repair и maintenance of motor roads in conformity effecting legislation and international standards".

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized perspectives of developing road sector in connection with realization of some important projects in Tatarstan such as reconstruction of federal highway M7, construction of petrochemical and oil-refining plants in Nizhnekamsk and complex for producing ammonia, methanol and carbamide in Mendeleevsk. All above mentioned objects will use road direction M7.

One more serious project is transport corridor “Western Europe-Western China” which will allow increasing transport flows throughout republic.

Head of RT government informed that 900 settlements of Tatarstan don’t have approach roads with asphalt-concrete surface. He also said that it had been decided to unite state assets in road sector and create organization “Tatavtodor”. Republic is about to take part in production of road materials extensively.

RF Deputy Minister of transport Oleg Belozerov, head of Federal Highway Agency Anatoly Chabunin, chairman of Committee on budget under RF Federation of Federal Assembly, Aide to plenipotentiary of RF President on Volga federal area Muaed Kankulov made reports at plenary session.
