Address of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on the occasion of the International Women’s Day

On March 8, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated women on the International Women's Day.
"Dear women! From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you on a wonderful spring holiday – the International Women's Day! This bright, filled with warmth March day is invariably marked by sincere love and deep respect for the beautiful half of the mankind. At all times, a woman is considered to be the epitome of life itself, the source of goodness and inspiration. The nature set her the great mission - to continue the human race, serving eternal ideal of beauty, harmony and true perfection.
The faith, hope and love, inexhaustible optimism of our mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, is the moral force that allows us to overcome life hardships. Women are active participants of significant socio-economic and socio-political processes taking place in the republic. The contribution made by women to the industry, agriculture, education, health, culture and science of Tatarstan is invaluable. We are glad at all your victories, successes and achievements and sincerely proud of you.
Tatarstan citizens pay the same respect to representatives of the heroic war generation - those who are on a par with men bore the burden of the World War II, saved the country devastated by enemies from the ruins. Your feat is unmatched in the history of the mankind, and boundless filial gratitude will live in our hearts forever! On the eve of the national holiday – the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory - congratulations to our glorified veterans are filled with special meaning.
I sincerely wish you, dear women, that your life will be filled with joy and surrounded by attention of people who love you! May the 8th of March will give you as many smiles and flowers as possible, fill your hearts with love and sincere enthusiasm. And we, men, will do everything to make this wonderful holiday last as long as possible.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
On 29 December, speaking at a briefing held in Tatarstan Government House on issues of ensuring the uninterrupted operation of road services and housing and communal services during the holidays, the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Damir Shaydullin said that during the holidays special attention will be given to providing heat supply to apartment buildings.
On 24 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a charity action “The Christmas Tree of Wishes” held during the 17th session of the State Council of the republic of the seventh convocation.
The Head of the Government of the republic will fulfill wishes of five-year old Landysh who dreams of a guitar, 13-year old Zariva who will get a smart speaker, eight-year old Leyla dreaming of a bike and 16-year old Evelina who will be given an e-book.
