Rustam Minnikhanov visits Shahid Beheshti University in Teheran

On March 9, during his working trip to Iran, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Shahid Beheshti University in Teheran.
Rustam Minnikhanov got familiar with academic programmes and looked around buildings.
The university was founded in 1959 as the National university of Iran. There are 199 bachelor’s, 632 MA, 257 PhD programmes, and 18 faculties at the university. Also, there are 6 research institutes and 9 research centers.
Rustam Minnikhanov visited the faculty of literature and humanitarian studies, and Laser and Plasma Research Institute, talked to Tatar and Bashkir students studying at the university.
Kazan Federal University signed Agreement on cooperation with Shahid Beheshti University in 2014.
It was noted that the list of candidates from Iran for undertaking internships at Kazan Federal University is being prepared.

On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
On 1 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in N.I. Lobachevsky Prize and Medal Award Ceremony held in Kazan Federal University and handed in the award to the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Researcher of the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Ivanov who was awarded for the outstanding achievements in fundamental and applied mathematics.
