Third regional IT Champion competition among secondary school students launches in Tatarstan

On March 17, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministries, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Information Technology and Communication of the republic Roman Shaikhutdinov said that the 3-rd regional IT Champion competition will begin in Tatarstan on March 18 .
“The competition was held in 2013-2014 and, foremost, aims at promoting electronic services available on the website uslugi.tatarstan.ru website, as well as the mobile application with the same name,” the Minister said.
This year’s event includes two nominations, Most Active Student and Most Active School. Following results of each stage three school students from each municipality will be awarded tablet PCs, while all students will be able to exchange the accrued points for commemorative prizes.
“Prizes to the winners are to be given personally by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, which, no doubt, increases the competition importance and attitude of the republic to the IT Champion competition being the tool to increase welfare of citizens,” Shaikhutdinov continued.
This year, the scoring system has undergone some changes. In particular, five points are to be given to a school student for each web-based payment made by an adult. Besides, additional points are to be given for some services. Seven points will be awarded for paying for housing and utilities services and five will be given for reporting metered values. Another five are to be scored for using the Automated Payment service.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
