Rustam Minnikhanov visits boarding school of Kazan choreographic school

On March 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Director of M.Dzhalil Tatar academic state opera and ballet theatre Raufal Mukhametzyanov visited boarding school of Kazan choreographic school.
Construction of the 4-floor building started in 2013 and finished on January 1, 2015.
Upon arrival Rustam Minnikhanov talked to a famous ballet dancer, ballet-master, people’s artist of the USSR, laureate of state prize of the USSR Vladimir Vasiliev, who said that the visit to opening of Kazan choreographic school was a surprise for him.
“It is a very happy day for those, who will live here, for the theatre and everyone, who likes the art of choreography. When I was studying at choreographic school in Moscow, unfortunately we did not have a boarding school. I was living with my parents and spent every day at the school from 10 a.m. till late evening. People who will live here will be focusing on art. There are all necessary conditions to become real artists,” Vasiliev said.
Tatarstan President looked around the building, the living-room, and medical unit, computer class and residential facilities.
“Today’s event is a part of cultural life of our region and a prologue for our dream to make Kazan one of the centers of choreographic art,” Director of Kazan choreographic school Tatyana Shakhnina said. She thanked Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and builders.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
On 1 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in N.I. Lobachevsky Prize and Medal Award Ceremony held in Kazan Federal University and handed in the award to the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Researcher of the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Ivanov who was awarded for the outstanding achievements in fundamental and applied mathematics.
