Rustam Minnikhanov: We should maintain contacts and expand cooperation between Tatarstan and Denmark

On March 25, at his meeting with Ambassador of Denmark to Russia Thomas Winkler in Kazan, Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that cooperation between regions is the foundation which helps maintaining stability in relations between the countries.
Business delegation from Denmark led by Thomas Winkler is on a working visit in Kazan.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Thomas Winkler for organization of the visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Copenhagen in October 2014. We should maintain contacts and expand cooperation between Tatarstan and Denmark, he added.
“We should promote our joint projects step by step,” the president said.
Minnikhanov noted that experience of Danish colleagues in the sphere of energy saving is interesting for the republic, and cooperation with Danfoss company is actively developing. Another prospective project is cooperation with Haldor Topsoe within the framework of “Ammoni” project.
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that Danish experience in the sphere of development of modern urban environment is interesting for Tatarstan.
Thomas Winkler expressed his confidence that relations between Danish business and Tatarstan will be developing. “Our country intends to continue cooperation with Russia in the sphere of culture, business, sport, and education, and we express our political will this way,” Thomas Winkler said. He also noted that on March 24 members of the delegation held negotiations at the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Ministry of Construction and met managers of Innopolis project.
Members of the delegation told about their companies and prospects of cooperation with Tatarstan colleagues.
Cooperation is to be developed in the sphere of pharmacy, medicine, agriculture, innovative solutions in pumping equipment, energy sector and rehabilitation of disabled patients.
Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov informed participants of the meeting that Danfoss is going to hold a conference with participation of Tatarstan enterprises on May 28, 2015 in Kazan.

On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
