On March 30, at the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM-2015) in Dubai, Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said: “As a Russian region Tatarstan is presented in markets of Gulf countries not so well and we are working in this area. We take part in forums, search for potential partners. Our relations with UAE are very friendly, but we should work hard to start realizing joint big projects.”
He added that Russian and UAE leaders support steps of Tatarstan on establishing close relations with UAE, and expressed his confidence that cooperation in many areas will be realized in the nearest time. He mentioned such spheres as Islamiс banking, industry, trade, tourism.
“At AIM-2015 forum we are presenting Tatarstan industrial enterprises and innovative areas of economy, for example engineering centers in the sphere of laser technologies, creation of medical simulators, petrochemical plants and nanotechnologies,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Minnikhanov noted that Annual Investment Meeting can help attracting potential investors and promote industrial produce in markets of Gulf countries.
Acting Tatarstan President mentioned as well that a meeting with UAE Minister of Economy, who took part in international investment forum Kazansummit, was to be held the same day.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
