Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates volleyball club “Zenit-Kazan” on victory in European champions league

On April 8, at a solemn event in honour of volleyball club “Zenit-Kazan” that won European champions league on March 29, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated the team on their victory.
Minnikhanov thanked board chairman of OAO “Gasprom” Aleksei Miller for the support provided to the team.
“Today we can say that our team is the best in Europe. They managed to achieve such success due to their hard and systemic work. We have a great team, managers and fans,” Minnikhanov said. He added that a lot of people play volleyball due to achievements of the team.
“On behalf of all Tatarstan and Russian fans we thank you for the contribution to our country’s collection,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
A letter of commendation of Tatarstan President and a certificate for 5 million roubles were handed over to the volleyball club.
President of volleyball club “Zenit-Kazan” Rafkat Kantyukov read out greetings from board chairman of OAO “Gasprom” Aleksei Miller. Rafkat Kantyukov, chief coach of the team Vladimir Alekno, and team captain Nikolay Apalikov addressed Rustam Minnikhanov with words of gratitude.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
