Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in session of Russian Presidential Council on economic modernization and innovative development of Russia

On April 17, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Association of innovative regions of Russia Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a session of Russian Presidential Council on economic modernization and innovative development of Russia at the Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University (Moscow).
The session was held by Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev.
The main topic of the session was innovative technologies in the sphere of geological survey and mining.
“We have always been proud of our enormous natural resources, and their sale in foreign markets is the main source of replenishment of the treasury and budget of our country, with all its pros and cons. Of course we are trying to avoid dependence on exports of hydrocarbons and make the economic structure more balanced and stable. However, mineral resources sector will be one of the most important sources of the country’s development. Most importantly, it can create the demand for high technologies and modern equipment that will help using our natural resources reasonably and minimize harmful environmental impact,” Dmitry Medvedev said.

On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
