Ildar Khalikov and Aleksei Miller discuss development of the market of natural gas fuel

On April 22, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Board Chairman of OAO “Gasprom” Aleksei Miller, Director General of OAO “KAMAZ” Sergey Kogogin, Director General of OOO “Gasprom transgas Kazan” Rafkat Kantyukov took part in a meeting “On developing the market of natural gas fuel in Russia and expansion of the range of natural gas-powered vehicles” at KAMAZ automaker in Naberezhnye Chelny.
Khalikov said that the republic has cooperated with “Gasprom gas motor fuel” since 2013, and a nine-year programme on developing the market of natural gas fuel was developed and is being implemented now. Natural gas-powered buses showed themselves to good advantage during World summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan, Khalikov said. He reminded that Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov made a decision to support producers of natural gas-powered cars. In cooperation with “Gasprom gas motor fuel”, Tatarstan Government is carrying out work on using compressed natural gas.
Speaking at the meeting, Miller said that the republic is a leading region in Russia in terms of development of the market of natural gas fuel, and KAMAZ takes the first place in the country by producing gas-powered vehicles.
Sergey Kogogin and Aleksei Miller signed an agreement on mutual cooperation.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
