Rustam Minnikhanov: Regions-members of the Association of innovative regions of Russia should intensify work on realization of cluster initiatives

On April 23, at a session of heads of committees of the Association of innovative regions of Russia that was held within the framework of the XV Russian and X Kazan venture fairs, Acting Tatarstan President and Chairman of the association Rustam Minnikhanov said that regions-members of the Association of innovative regions of Russia should intensify work on realization of cluster initiatives.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that the association celebrates the 5th anniversary in 2015. So many things have been done during this period, - intensive work is carried out with parliament society on improving legislative environment, members of the association are actively involved in law-making process, and 20 engineering centers have been created. Members of the association are leading regions in providing favourable investment climate.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, the qualified committee of the association developed the system to assess innovative development of Russian regions that was approved by Russian Ministry of Economic Development, and agreements on cooperation in the sphere of inter-cluster cooperation were signed with partners from France, the Netherlands, and Germany.
“Joint work of the association and Ministry of economic development helped regions to receive subsidies for development of clusters. We should intensify work on supporting innovative projects in regions,” Minnikhanov said.
Aide to Russian President Andrei Fursenko, CEO of Russian Venture Capital Association Albina Nikkonen and CEO of the Association of innovative regions of Russia Ivan Bortnik took part in the session.

On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
