Rustam Minnikhanov hands over state awards of Russia and Tatarstan

On April 28, handing over state awards of Russia and Tatarstan at the Kazan Kremlin Acting Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the event took place before the 1st of May, the holiday of spring and labour, and the Victory Day.

“I would like to express my gratitude to WWII veterans present here today. Thank you, dear veterans, for everything you did for your people, country and our republic. I wish you long and happy life, strong health and wellbeing,” Minnikhanov said.

The anniversary medal “70th anniversary of Victory in WWII” was handed over to veterans and workers of the home front. Orders “of merits for the Motherland” of the II class were handed over to employees of Tatarstan enterprises.

Professor of the Kazan state conservatoire named after N.G.Zhiganov, veteran of WWII Afzal Khairutdinov thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for appreciation of his merits on behalf of everyone present at the event. He noted that due to support of Tatarstan leadership music culture is developing in the republic, Kazan conservatoire, S.Saidashev State big concert hall, M.Dzhalil Tatar opera and ballet theatre and other cultural institutions are successfully working in the republic.

Medals “for valorous labour”, “In commemoration of production of three-billion tonnes of oil” were also handed over at the event.
